Going green tips for home does not have to be difficult. There are lots of things you can do to help the environment by going green. It is true that some of the options are expensive, but there are also a lot of easy and cheap things you can do to save the environment and even maybe save yourself some money. Do as little or as much as you possibly can, every little bit helps!

Here are a few of the simple and easy changes you can make:

Use reusable water bottles Use reusable grocery bags Re-use everything as far as possible Recycle everything that is recyclable Simply think of every possible way to use less of scarce recourses.

It is easy to purchase a few dishwasher safe water bottles and you can use an inexpensive home water filtration system, that you can even make yourself!  This way you will save on expensive bottled water as well and save yourself some money.

Now if you really want to save yourself some money, your utility bills are the place to start. They are the biggest expense in any household these days. Fortunately there are many simple things you can do to save on your energy bills.

Have a look around your house and see where the weak spots are. Where are you losing valuable hot or cold air? Plug these holes some way or another. You can also get kits to seal your windows better. Very often that is the place where you are losing a lot of energy.

A big change you can make that will also save big is by generating your own energy. You will save the environment as you will be using more of a renewable source of energy. You will be able to use clean and "green" energy.

It is very easy to build a home rooftop wind turbine or even a backyard turbine. While it is true that it will not be able to supply all your energy needs, it will probably supply you with about 60% of your energy needs and it can easily save you 80% on your energy bills.

What is even better, you will find all the parts you need in your local hardware store and it should not coast you much more than $200. It will not take you very long to build it and you can easily complete it in a few days.

So, there you have your going green tips for home.
