Advising clients on choosing green buildings, ways of cutting costs through sustainable activities, and case study examples of low carbon offices already saving money, will all be highlighted at the event, organised by office design and fit out specialist, Morgan Lovell.
Led by Lara Conaway, sustainability manager at the workplace interior company, the office agent seminar takes place on Wednesday, February 25, at Morgan Lovell’s London headquarters in Noel Street, Soho.
A leading expert in sustainable office interiors, Lara’s inspirational and practical approach has made her a regular figure in the press, as well as the speaker circuit.
Lara said: “Despite the downturn, sustainability is still high on the agenda for clients looking for office space – but now clients are looking at green issues as a way to cut costs and add to the bottom line.
“The session will focus on cost savings in offices, including an outline of why one building may be more suitable for sustainability requirements than another - all illustrated with real case studies.
“Cost saving initiatives that clients can implement to make their own offices green will also be given and the issue of whether BREEAM ratings are worthwhile discussed.”
Starting at 8.10am, breakfast is included and the session qualifies delegates for CPD credits. Registration is free, but places are limited. To register go to http://www.morganlovell.com/seminars or call 01462 490609.
After the seminar, an optional tour of Morgan Lovell’s own cost-saving ‘green workplace’ is included. The company refurbished its headquarters in 2007 and achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating - despite being located in a 1960s office block.
The seminar is scheduled to finish at 9.30am.
